.Free e-mail on the avenger-valkyrie domain
From time to time, I receive an e-mail from someone who has been browsing the site, and desires to get in touch with someone whose car is featured here. I have always been protective of peoples e-mail addresses unless they expressly request that I publish their e-mail address here. Usually, I end up acting as a go between, forwarding the request to the intended recipient, so as not to let just anyone have our contributors address. Truthfully, sometimes this is bothersome and I do not get around to doing it promptly. To solve this problem I am offering a free e-mail address on this server to anyone whose car I have featured in our gallery, has written an article featured here, or is a member of our forum. Here is how it works. If you meet the afore-mentioned criteria, and you would like an avenger-valkyrie e-mail address, just email me and let me know what e-mail address you would like, format will be yourname@avenger-valkyrie.org .Be sure to include a second and third choice, as some names may be taken. While I used to offer mailboxes here on this domain, I found that some people never checked them, and they sometimes filled with spam, using up space on my server. So what I am offering now is email forwarding.. Let's say you have an e-mail address you already use, and do not want to bother with another account. In this example, your existing address is yourname@yahoo.com . If we set this up to forward, all mail sent to yourname@avenger-valkyrie.org will arrive at yourname@yahoo.com . This makes it very easy for you and for me. We then put your avenger-valkyrie address on the page that features your car in the gallery. We will put in there in graphic form so the e-mail mining spam-bots will not find it. Anyone wishing to contact you will then be able to do so directly, without going through me. Now for the fine print: There is no charge for this. You are not entitled to anything. In other words, this is a free service that promises nothing and is revocable at anytime. There are no guarantees of any kind, and you are due no remedies if it in anyway does not meet with your satisfaction. You may opt out at any time by requesting to have your mailbox cancelled, but it could take up to 3 weeks, you never know, I might go on vacation etc. Be forewarned! A couple of people have already asked me if they can have an e-mail address here if their car is not in the gallery etc. I have thought about this, and I have decided yes you can, if you will donate $2 a year to go toward the costs of maintaining this site. These mail addresses are for those who contribute in some way. For those whose only contribution is participation in the forum, I reserve the right to cancel your avenger-valkyie e-mail if you have not participated in a long time, most likely about 6 months or more.
