Valkyrie For Sale

The car, located in Kansas City, is a mid-60’s Fiberfab Valkyrie with the 2 piece body configuration.

Dedicated, factory-built rectangular steel tube frame with roll bar. 2" X 5" X .095 mild steel main rails.

Utilizes 2nd generation Corvair independent suspension at all 4 corners.

Drum brakes all around - easily converted to discs.

(All Corvair components readily available from Clark’s Corvair Parts)

Minilite replica (by Shelby) front wheels. Rear wheels were stolen - stock steel

wheels mounted for transport.

Quicker ratio Corvette steering box.(I think?)

All headlights, signal lights, glass, glass trim, hinges, latches, door handles installed.

Stewart-Warner gauges (less tach) installed - don’t know if they work. I have no clue

as to condition of wiring harness.

No interior. Seat shells are molded into cockpit requiring upholstered pads. The rest

of interior, other than door panels, is generally carpeted.

I fabricated two 8 gallon steel fuel tanks, which are located to either side of engine.

Fiberglass in good condition. Two cracks, one 5" at top of right front wheel arch and

one 2" at left top of rear glass opening - both very easily repaired.

The car has been in dry, inside storage for 17 years but all paint, both body and chassis,

has gone bad. All should be stripped and repainted. As you can see in the pictures, the

car has 17 yrs. accumulated dust and dirt.

No engine or accessories. Originally had small block Chevy. Motor mounts are on chassis.

Stock Saginaw 4-spd. with adaptor to stock Corvair differential. This is significantly

stronger than Crown or Kelmark set-ups and the differential turns in proper direction.

My brother has used this trans/diff set-up on several V-8, mid-engined Corvair

conversions, and it works great.

(Saginaw will bolt right up to small block Ford/Borg-Warner bellhousing)

Standard Hurst Competition Plus shifter can be utilized with Morse cables.

Stock small block Chevy bellhousing. Stock clutch/pressure plate can be used.

I bought this car 17 years ago and it has been in storage ever since. As I understand it

the original builder put 2600 miles of the car, blew the engine, and lost interest. My brother came across the car and bought it because he knew how disappointed I was at having had to sell my first Valkyrie (400 hp, 2050 lbs. - that car was an absolute rocket) in order to finance my college education. I bought the car from him with the intention of restoring it someday. I’ve tried to be candid and accurate about the car’s condition. For someone with a modicum of automotive mechanical ability, restoration could be accomplished for relatively little expenditure and a bargain supercar could result.

I don’t really need to sell it but as I don’t see myself getting to it anytime soon, and storage is expensive, I will sell, As-Is, for $3500 FIRM. Not interested in trades.
